YOUR FIRST CONSULTATION

Your first consultation may last an hour to an hour and a half. This time is devoted to building up a comprehensive history of you and your health, both past and present. If necessary an examination may be carried out and blood pressure readings obtained.

A management protocol will then be devised and discussed with you. A prescription will be dispensed immediately and you may be invited to return in a month’s time for a review.

Please note that all personal records will be kept in the strictest confidence.

FOLLOW UP CONSULTATIONS

Follow-up consultations may last thirty to forty five minutes. Your condition will be reviewed and a further prescription dispensed. Any changes in your condition may be reflected in the new prescription, so that the herbs are tailored specifically to your current needs at every follow-up appointment.

MEDICINE

All herbal medicines used are high quality preparations obtained from specialist outlets supplying the medical herbalist’s profession. Many tinctures used in the Willow Herbal Practice are highly concentrated liquid preparations. A comprehensive range of tinctures and dried herbs are held in the dispensary to cater for a wide range of conditions and to enable prescriptions to be made up while you wait.
